Peer Advising:

 

Advising has been an issue at Miami for a long time. The university has tried a variety of solutions but and though they have helped, none have truly solved the problem. We have a proposal that will aid the process of making a better advising system

 

Peer advsing would allow upperclass students in majors across campus to aid first and second year students on major selection, course selection, and career planning. We have looked into many other universities that have systems like this and we feel corporate sponsorship would be a great way to compensate the students who serve in these roles.
