Hello Miami!!
My name is Natalie Bata and I am running to be your next Student Body Vice President.
I grew up in Amman, Jordan and moved to the beautiful Cleveland, Ohio when I was eight (Go Browns!!). As a first generation American citizen and college student, I'm so fortunate to have the opportunity to attend such a wonderful university like Miami. I'm a third-year student at Miami, majoring in Biology and minoring in Arabic and Global Health Studies. After I graduate, I hope to attend medical school and one day specialize in pediatric medicine.
My time here at Miami has been absolutely amazing! I am a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority and serve on the National Panhellenic Executive Council as the VP of Community Service and Engagement. I also serve as an Off-campus Senator for the Associated Student Government. I have also been involved in Dr. Michael Kennedy's Pancreatic Cancer research team since my freshman year at Miami.
I'm extremely passionate about volunteering and serving others. I live each day hoping to make some kind of a difference. I love volunteering and like I say, "being useful." I actually just spent my J-term volunteering at a hospital in Mombassa, Kenya where I had the most rewarding experience! You can usually find me crammed in a cubicle at King... and in my spare time, Brick Street's dance floor ;)
The prospect of serving as your Student Boyd Vice President is beyond exciting and such a privilege! I really hope to make Miami an even better school than it already is! I love hearing directly from students, so please do not hesitate to reach out to me - BataN@MiamiOH.edu
